D.I. Jive is a friendly modern jive dance class run by Anji and Graham Bond, with a dedicated and fun loving team. Our professional and friendly staff will make you feel welcome and relaxed. Surrounded by a great atmosphere you will have a wonderful time at one of our many events or classes.
So what does D.I. Jive have to offer you?
- A dedicated team of teachers and helpers, to make you feel welcome. From start to finish.
- Tailored lessons for beginners to help you advance quickly, build up confidence and take away the worries that come with learning any new skill.
- Lessons are not rushed, Here in D.I. Jive we feel that if its worth teaching we will spend as much time as needed on it to make sure everyone understands and is happy with what they’re being taught.
- With a multitudeof influences and styles D.I. Jive is not here to preach our own dance methods. We are here to join and adapt your own style with the dance moves YOU would like to learn. With dance tutors and team members who are all looking to improve and develop their own skills, you’ll never be stuck with the same lesson over and over again.
- If you find it difficult to pick up a move or a specific sequence then we won’t abandon you and plough on full steam ahead. We spend as much time as is needed to ensure that all attending dancers are able to learn the lesson. If you really find it difficult then there will always be a chance to learn on a 1-2-1 basis to help iron out any issues you may have, Any problem you have the team is their to help.
- We promise to give at least 3 hours of our time as a group throughout the duration of the evening.
What do you need to do for us?
- Bring an open mind, enthusiasm and a smile.
- Wear comfortable shoes that give you both support and flexibility, Try to avoid trainers as the grip on the soles will prevent you from gliding across the floor.
- It may not seem it but dancing is a physical activity and over time when you learn more complex routines and moves like dips and lifts it will be more physical. For this reason it is advisable that you bring a small bag with a Towel, Water, Deodorant, Change of shirt or Blouse and anything else that you feel will help. Just to give you the chance to freshen up if you choose and will hopefully make your night more enjoyable.
- There is a bar at the Danish Invader where you can buy a cool pint of beer or a fresh glass of wine so some money may be advisable as well.
- Last but not least, Enjoy yourself in the end of the day thats why we are here! So people can socialise and enjoy a night out doing something they enjoy.
